Baptism Cupcakes

A dear friend of the family asked me to make cupcakes for her son's baptism.  After some internet research and a few conversations, this is what the Mom requested.  Welcome to the world Caleb!

A Practice Cake

I am a buttercream frosting lover. I (and my son) could eat it by the spoonful.  I rarely use fondant to cover an entire cake.  However, considering I am starting a business, I assume at some point someone will ask for a fondant cake. So I found a recipe for homemade fondant and it is pretty tasty! Here is a picture of my practice cake, later consumed by my favorite tester family.  They claim it was delicious so I will believe them.  The "C" is for my BFF's new grandson Caleb.
