Happy 40th Birthday!!

A dear friend recently celebrated his 40th birthday....in style....which is exactly what I would expect from him!  The red carpet themed affair was an event I am certain those who attend wont soon forget!  He asked if I would make cupcakes for his special party.  On the menu - red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, vanilla cupcakes with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting and chocolate-chocolate chip cupcakes with swiss mocha chocolate frosting. (the last one was my personal favorite)  A wonderful time was had by all!

Ordering Holiday Cookies

I met so many wonderful people at the Brookfield East High School Holiday Craft Fair today!  I had cookies and cake pops galore to purchase. I'll be at the Washington County Fair Park for the Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, November, 19th from 9am to 4pm. I am excited to be offering cookie gift boxes and platters to purchase for the holidays. 

Gift Box or Platter: One dozen individually wrapped holiday sugar cookies and 4 drop cookies, displayed in a beautiful box or platter.  A 16 cookie box/platter is $30 plus tax. A 32 cookie box/platter is $60 plus tax.
Drop Cookies: Add a dozen drop cookies to any box or platter for an additional $8 plus tax.  I offer Soft Chocolate Chip with M&M's, Peanut Butter Kiss, Oatmeal Raisin and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.

And yes, he is a Dallas Cowboys fan. 
My husband, who is Packers fan said, "You need to draw the line somewhere!"
You would have thought I was breaking the law!  Crazy....  ;)

Lots of Treats for Ella's Birthday

Dont you love it when you get to celebrate your birthday twice?  You know, the good ole "school treat" and "birthday party treat"?  Ah, those were the days....
Ella wanted pink and purple cupcakes and the girly-er the better! The first picture is a cupcake from her school treat. (Thanks to Ella's Mom for taking and sending me a pic.  How did I let a treat out the door without taking a pic??) The next two pictures are of cupcakes for Ella's down-on-the-farm theme birthday party.  She requested pigs and horses and bunnies...oh my!

Madison's Birthday Cookies

Is it odd that I have never made a big (12 inch) chocolate chip cookie before?  I received a request for one so I did a test run.  My family had the entire thing devoured in less than 24 hours!  OK, I had a few bites too...
Madison isn't a big fan of cake but does love cookies.  Her Mom requested cookies, big and small, for Maddie's birthday and here they are.

How cute is she?  And a Packer fan?  Love it.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!

Fall is my favorite season and Halloween is my favorite holiday.  I love anything pumpkin flavored. I also love apples. I have an amazing recipe for apple cake.  I made it last week and am working on eating the entire thing all by myself.  The weather was cool and perfect for baking so I decided to do a test run of some Halloween cookies. I saw these on www.Lilaloa.blogspot.com and had to try them.  She is amazing!  I have lots of ideas for Halloween treats swarming around in my head....October 31st cant get here fast enough for me.
